You may be curious as to what a SonoME adventure is and
how to create one. A SonoME adventure is any day you enjoy
or have enjoyed in Sonoma County.
The SonoME Adventures that I host take place in and around
Alexander Valley, Dry Creek Valley, Russian River Valley,
and the Sonoma Coast. These are the areas I fell in love
with and continue to explore in Sonoma County. My job
from here on is to help you create and experience your
very own SonoMe Adventure.
Here are some of the places and activities that I recommend.
I have also put together links to my favorites.
WINE TASTING
There are hundreds of wineries in the northern and western
area of Sonoma County which cover the Alexander Valley,
Russian River Valley and Dry Creek Valley wine regions.
It is very easy to combine a day of wine tasting, visiting
small towns, unique stores and dining places.
THE REDWOODS (Armstrong Redwoods
State Reserve)
Not everybody is aware that we have
an old growth redwoods reserve in Sonoma County. The coast
redwood (sequoia sempervirens) is the world’s tallest
and one of the world’s oldest living things. The
redwoods are such a sight to behold. Let your little tikes
get close to nature and experience their first hike through
the redwoods.
SONOMA COAST AND BODEGA BAY
Sonoma Coast is one of California’s
most scenic attractions. It is not for swimming but you
get to enjoy beachcombing, tidepooling or just walking
on long sandy beaches. Marvel at the scenic shoreline
and rugged headlands when you cruise along Sonoma Coast.
